40 Community Health Promoters trained by @StJohnKenya to support safe motherhood in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County.

Implemented under the "Mama na Mwana" project by @StJohnKenya supported by @StJohnINTL and the County Government of Kajiado, the initiative aims to bridge maternal and newborn healthcare gaps.

The four-day training, covers skills in antenatal care, safe delivery, newborn care, immunization, family planning, data management, and safeguarding among others.

Justine Nakintu from St John Uganda joined the training to share insights from her five years of experience running a similar program in Uganda.

Two people lost their lives, and twelve others injured in a road crash at Nyakairu along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway. The accident involved a lorry and two personal cars. @StJohnKenya's Kinungi Community First Responders provided timely First Aid support. The injured were rushed to Naivasha General Hospital.

4 Passengers have this afternoon been critically injured and 10 others sustained minor injuries following a multiple-vehicle road traffic accident at View Point area along the Nairobi - Nakuru Highway. The accident involved 2 "Nissan" matatus, 1 personal car and a pick-up colliding. St John Highway Community First Responders from Lari area have attended to the injured and arranged for hospital transfer to Kijabe Mission and Lari Level 4 hospitals. No fatalities were reported.

On Saturday, St John Ambulance Nairobi Volunteer Region conducted its annual Cadet First Aid and Drill Competition to test its members' preparedness to respond to disasters. They're tested on various first aid skills, coordination and discipline in marching drills. #StJohnPeople
