The Lord Prior of the Order of St John, Prof. Mark Compton AM GCStJ, is in Kenya on a historic visit. He commended Kenya’s position as the second-largest St John establishment globally, with over 60,000 volunteers.
During his visit to the headquarter office, he underscored the importance of amplifying youth voices and intentionally developing women as leaders, stating, “Women must be given a fair chance to show they are the best.”

St John School Club youngest members (Dolphins) today had fun at the Nyayo National Stadium learning AQUA RESCUE skills as part of their regular First Aid and Safety skills training. Dolphins are members between the age of 6 - 12 years from various primary schools including those from modern home schooling programs.
During the training, the learners together with their parents had a chance to interact with various basic life saving equipment. The children were carefully trained how to rescue a person who is drowning at a swimming pool and what to do incase there is no lifeguard onsite.
As the school holidays kick in, such programs are ideal to grow a child's life skills away from the normal classroom academics. St John Ambulance aims at nurturing a generation that is well prepared with practical real life skills and knowledge of how to handle basic challenges from a young age.
