@hellfire_81 They have to learn how to lie better. Writing bureaucrat-ese isn't that easy.
Ought to watch Yes Minister a few times before they attempt again
@siriharusha No, they do not. I've stood in a few of the places, albeit in a much safer circumstances. The amount of risks those men and women take, are magnitude more than what are taken in almost any other profession. And it's voluntary.
@siriharusha You, my dear, are a fine sample of an idiot. And yes, we do give them special treatment by not go ogling medical bullshit and regurgitating that.
You're not here to reason, you're here to vent out. Maybe the grapes were indeed sour.
@siriharusha exactly, and you are an authority on facts. No other profession deals with own death for a cause, and does that repeatedly without complaint. Let us not compare judges wearing wigs.
@siriharusha People better than you have debated for long, and finally came to a conclusion that it is better to have them than to not.
Also, you mean the people who literally die for the country have a colonial hangover, while you, tweeting from home, have truer sense of independence? Kudos
@siriharusha@hellfire_81 For a man who might be called to die , while being exhorted in the name of Regimental honor, has to be given the sense of belonging to the regiment. A sense of continuity. Balls are one of the ways, regimental trophies, colors presented (both going back centuries), etc.
@siriharusha@hellfire_81 Again, why? Our whole fighting system is built by them. A lot of regiments still wear colors presented to them by the Crown. Some against our own, for eg in 1857. Regimental izzat has been a defining characteristic of many last stands.
@hellfire_81@siriharusha On a lighter note sir, talking to Indian Army about Balls - literal or figurative is a lost cause. They lack in neither and both are displayed with aplomb.
@siriharusha@hellfire_81 Ah yes. Self respect. If that's the criteria, then anyone can take a pot shot at regimental system as well.. It's not ours, is it?
@siriharusha@hellfire_81 Why not, let's take away regimental system as well. Totally english. On that note, remove artillery, it's literally Mughal in origins. Let's see, remove rifle practice as well. Another colonial relic, the rifle.
Somehwta decolonised I hope!
@hellfire_81 Yes, I've been trying to tell this to people for a long time. This, and the fact that it says forces, not on India, makes it an even more interesting enunciation.
Once IBGs become operational, would give a quite good shield against tactical nukes on which they've built thr def
@hellfire_81 Sir, going by prevalent L1 mindset and play safe, Black Water Logistics would be the goal, Agarwal Packers and Movers would probably be the successful party !
@Ahlawat2012 Point 4 means there would be non state actors. Might not be in direct violence, but one step removed. Internal disturbances, sabotage, information warfare, perception shaping, etc.
