97406/40135 at Gloucester Horton Road in 1987. It had been en route to Swindon for scrapping but apparently developed a hot axle box and so was stopped at Gloucester. This hiatus was enough to gain it a future as it was purchased for preservation whilst stabled there.

1982年9月の台風による土砂崩れで転落し、引き揚げ後もしばらく損壊した状態で展示に就いていました。
その後、修復を受けて鉄道博物館に収蔵されましたが、転落時に受けた傷跡を確認することができます。

機関車3輛の擦れ違い（1970. 03. 09）：鹿児島本線、筑豊本線・原田駅にて。停車しているD6025＋D52153重連の牽く貨物列車の横をD51382の牽く普通旅客列車が走り過ぎます。
