Progressives are the heart of America! We support freedom and prosperity, along with a clean environment, strong communities, and a fair shot at success for everyone. Let's build that future together, follow us and engage with this post and we'll follow back.
@ChrisVanHollen Great but it doesn't matter, your party is still blowing it because enough of them have sold us out that its going to hurt the entire party.
@SenTimKaine You are an out of touch sell out. A one chamber vote in Dec is nothing. Your logic is flawed + you have missed the big picture. Your decision will cost the Dems votes + the R's will vote down your legislation because without Trump's RNC funds they won't even be on the ballot.
Please help the Dems fight for healthcare. Right now you're only helping the false republican narrative instead of being the collective voice of the people(not just the unions.) Keep in mind that the average ATC pay is nearly $100,000/year MORE than the average American's yearly pay($144,580 vs $48,000).
To be clear, without the renewal of the ACA subsidies millions will lose insurance and people will die prematurely. These union members are not facing a life threatening situation if the shutdown continues while many Americans will be facing a life threatening without insurance.
The job of @NATCA is to look out for their members interest. Part of your job is to protect their ability to exist, but the bigger job is to make sure Americans can afford health insurance. On this issue their interests are not our interest.
Other important facts:
Virtually all active National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) members who are federal employees receive health insurance through their employer, the U.S. government (primarily the Federal Aviation Administration - FAA).
Air traffic controllers are expected to receive back pay after a government shutdown, as they are considered essential workers required to work without pay during the shutdown.

Lost elections are rigged, won elections are fair. Good job numbers are real, bad ones are fake. Sex trafficking is bad, unless the traffickers will blame your enemies. Crime is bad, unless the criminals are pro-Trump. This isn’t 4D chess, or even tic-tac-toe, just Autocracy 101.
@elonmusk@elonmusk should be smart enough to realize that he must start putting his money where his mouth is NOW and that with his support congress can actually be the check on Trumps power that could protect him and his subsidies while defeating this bill.

Hey @elonmusk, you spent $250M creating this disaster by siding with ideology, blaming immigrants & the left, and flipping off the supporters who backed you for decades. Now’s your chance to start making it right.
Put your money where your mouth is: launch a massive ad campaign exposing the truth about this dangerous bill and those who back it. Fund candidates who’ll stop it *today*. Stop talking, start doing.
As the world’s richest man, you can break Trump’s grip on Congress in days. Act now, or it’ll cost you far more when he comes for you. Save the country and yourself... before it’s too late. #DoSomethingElon

Mamdani won. The establishment is in panic.
Billionaires are raising money against him; Trump is ranting; Islamophobes are on the loose.
They know what we know: Candidates who stand boldly with the working class can win not only in NYC, but anywhere.
Let's stand with Zohran.
@carrol_lemon @chase_lanford@sandibachom Obviously Carrol is a bot because they had read the conversation you'd see it was a real discussion between real people.
The US spends almost twice as much per capita on health care as any other nation. Yet 85 million Americans are uninsured or under-insured and 68,000 die each year because they can’t afford a doctor.
Health care must be a human right, not a privilege. We need Medicare for All.
Hey, illiterate MAGA moron, way to conflate veterans' affirmative action with DEI and toss in a bunch of baseless propaganda.
Here are the facts: Your claim about minorities, women, disabled individuals, or veterans getting 'extra points' at the USPS to the point where a 'black female disabled vet' can beat a high-scoring white guy with a low score is simply not true. Federal hiring practices, including at the USPS, prioritize merit and qualifications while using programs like the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) to ensure equal opportunity, not to lower standards. These policies aim to create a level playing field by removing barriers for qualified veterans and others, not by overriding test scores or competence with arbitrary points. Your statement reflects a mix of ideological bias, anecdotal misunderstandings, and a lack of awareness of the actual legal framework. Check your facts before spreading nonsense.
@BenFranklin1171@jubilantsleep@maddenifico You literally just did it with the Harvard case. You are asserting that the people deploying DEI policies did but that is conjecture; there are few examples and even less proven cases where that is really happening.
Re-Read my first post in this chain you replied to, specifically addressing hiring and noting people like you muddling DEI with Affirmative action.
The Harvard case was primarily about admissions, not hiring, and 100% about affirmative action NOT DEI.
The FAA cases are still only unproven allegations, but the hiring practices were changed to combat any potential mis-application of DEI or discrimination through assessment testing... Because DEI hiring is still legally required to be merit based and choosing an applicant based on race over another applicant is illegal.
@YourAnonCentral Gomez is an F'ing PSYCOPATH. Is she advocating for extrajudicial killings? Legal executions cost significantly more than lifetime imprisonment, which is significantly more than deportation, even at the inflated deportation prices we are paying due to Trumps poor management.
Mr friends, I want to introduce you to Gary Stevenson (@garyseconomics)
One of the best economic minds of our time.
I’ve watched him for some time on YouTube and he’s just starting to really break through to the mainstream.
He grew up poor in the UK, got rich in the City – then found himself wrestling with depression. Now he says he’s the only person on the left who really understands the British economy – and the people who wield the power and I absolutely concur.
If you’d like to read a great article about him click the link below

He’s wrote a best selling book called the ‘Trading Game’ which is an absolute must read if you get the opportunity.
Democrats should be bashing down his door right now to get him consulting on economic policy.
Here he is talking about the Tesla stock price before its recent fall off the cliff. This guy is the real deal.
