@LilMikeyMcD @ChimpMega@ninaturner Times have changed. People have extraordinary access to information.
I disagree with the more absolutist position. Someone who wants to be a mechanic, say, who would opt to pursue a cost-free philosophy degree out of personal interest does not have a right to that education.
@LilMikeyMcD @ChimpMega@ninaturner This appears to me to be a misunderstanding of Modern Monetary Theory.
"The government must spend money into existence before it taxes." In regards to a new education program, this is untrue. A government can fund a new program through a tax-and-spend model.
@LilMikeyMcD @ChimpMega@ninaturner Congress is a decision-making entity that spends more than it recieves. Some of its spending is funded by tax collection. The rest is funded by borrowing, which provides a promise to lenders for principal and interest payments from tax collection. What am I missing?
@LilMikeyMcD @ChimpMega@ninaturner If it's not taxes that fund federal programs, what does fund it? This question has nothing to do with the return to society - just wondering where the money comes from.
@ninaturner How many 18-yr olds have money for tuition saved?
I know children of high-income parents who are paying $900+ per month in loans. I know of childrem of low-income parents who are paying far less.
@sjw_sjw_and @Jason_Trolls @BIPOCracism Successful interbreeding of offspring is more accurate - without sterility in one of the sexes.
Mixed race humans have children with other mixed race humans.
A liliger is a hybrid. Humans don't have hybrids - we can keep fucking each other until we are all the same color.
