For those not following along. The @Brewers are either direct listing or working with a broker/consolidator to control supply on the “secondary market”.
The BOTS ACT is in place to circumvent ticket limits which gives an unfair advantage to certain buyers over general consumers
@janicebbox Perhaps do some research if you think teams aren’t involved on resale sites. These sites are simply distribution channels for teams to sell tickets.
Following exact same pattern as yesterday. @Brewers turn off sale at box office and then load all the good seats they normally drop on gameday directly on @SeatGeek
@TheRealBenz2@SeatGeek@Brewers These are real tickets. Fake tickets priced too high won’t do much to the market. SeatGeek actually punishes sellers who don’t deliver. If these were bought.
Let’s watch the 6+ ticket listings bounce around the stadium as supply is manipulated. These are all from today. Random sellers don’t list 6+ tickets together on game day when the limit is 2. The supply continues to be manipulated to inflate price

@WillJen33752275@caseyflip22 When the seller doesn’t like seat numbers it highlights the whole row being but it’s a straight line. If they define seat numbers, there would be dots on each seat. Second screenshot is in Tampa. See the dots vs straight line?
@WillJen33752275@GrantLawton Yes. MLB requires you to login before you can put anything in your cart. And they started 2 factor authen this year to verify account as part of login.
@stamples@Brewers If it’s a straight line showing the row (vs dots for each seat) it’s undefined seat numbers on SeatGeek. Not necessarily the whole row being for sale. Lots of those listings are speculative and mirroring another exchange.

@BlueDog876 Ticketmaster is simply a resale marketplace for the brewers and most of MLB. The brewers and majority of MLB use tickets. com as their primary which feeds to the mlb page and mlb ballpark.
@stamples I don’t know. Some policies change for postseason. Some change year to year. I don’t track the changes that closely. I know guardians, Red Sox, and padres shut down at first pitch on SeatGeek. Most teams don’t.
A couple of tidbits from after the game started. Tickets clearly being controlled not by fans / typical resellers. Just tossing this out there since some people still think this is scalpers and not an inside job. Game in 3rd inn when screenshots were taken. Priced not to sell.
@stamples SeatGeek for Brewers turns off an hour after first pitch. A few teams shut off at first pitch. Some shut off 30 minutes after, most are an hour after.
@Cool1Are They go fast. I wasn’t watching that close. When they still show, they are in someone’s cart but purchase not complete yet. Cart timer is 10 minutes.
