@notlinsanityy@Kick_Champ You think appearance insecurities is exclusively a woman’s trait?
You never heard any woman judge a man’s appearance?
You might be delusional.
@IamKidKelly@Puritanbob@bgdjovan@FeelsGuy2003 You can have a mature cordial debate without shouting, insulting, interrupting, ad Homs. It’s unnecessary.
Jay did all those things during debates. Not all of them though.
But congrats he’s retiring from doing them. That was a good decision. Dyerites should learn from it.
@salahuddin7302@JamesKowalski88@AmaizingJoe Samiria didn’t exist at the time of Moses mate.
Muhammad probably got it from Jewish folklore because in their writings, Aaron didn’t build a calf. It was Samaritans.

@zikspeace@SamuraiHaq@JohanasSilento Muslims know his expertise is philosophy and LPT so they argue theology with him to get a 1-up or clip.
If juju expertise was theology, then they would argue philosophy or LPT. It’s actually sad, really.
@1hsanfawz@Alghisi_F@SamuraiHaq@GodLogic_GL@HardenBetter_ “Mental gymnastics”.
The ayah says if you are in doubt about the stories then ask the people of scripture.
So whatever story you are in doubt about from the Quran then the people of scripture was the epistemic authority to alleviate that doubt.
Doesn’t really matter.
I can make a moral particularist argument.
Part of Christian theology is in Divine Accommodation or Descension.
And the Torah must be understood holistically not partially.
Rape is condemned in itself by many narratives in the Torah.
It just seems more like you citing some regulation and thinking it’s Universally bad.
@mk4goated@JeromeChukwuwem I don’t think Korra took it extreme. She clarified multiple times what she meant by that.
I think Korra acted childish by clipping and leaving instead of letting Jerome explain though.
First off, i don’t know what legality have anything to do with the OP or the determinate of whether the sexes have these natural roles.
Secondly, there’s no ‘once she has children she cannot escape’. Both can’t escape and have the same obligations under law. Equally responsible in most cases.
Thirdly, you’re just be pessimistic really.
You’re awfully confused again. I recommend you to actually read what he saying instead of interpreting based on your incredulity.
He’s attributed duties to both men and women in marriage.
Those duties are derived from nature which designated men “providing” for the family. It’s not what the husband decides*. He did not say that.
“Nature made females providers and protectors of children…”
I don’t think anyone disagrees with that. You would also be arguing the same line of reasoning as the one you accused of being part of patriarchy.
“…not servants of males.” When did he ever used or implied servant of servitude exclusively women? 😂
You seem awfully confused. You didn’t answer my question. You asked me questions in your reply.
He’s not saying men made those rules and women ought to obliged. Hes arguing some form of ‘telos’ in the sexes coming from nature* (not men) in response to why women are respected more when they follow this telos.
Men don’t usually don’t do that.
Men give a standard of stoicism which would mean ‘actions have consequences beyond our control within the world therefore to mitigate these consequences is to choose said actions, which develops flourishing virtues.’
Women usually argue opposite and sometimes totalitarianism ideas.
