"High productivity doesn’t mean squat if the things you’re getting done aren’t truly important. It’s far better to get a few top things done, and done well, than to crush a mile-deep todo list of trivial bullshit." - @dhh https://t.co/Lmeqfw4zAC
Don’t confuse thinking or talking about the work with doing the work. The former offers a fleeting blip of pleasure. The latter offers growth and lasting fulfillment.
"The right productivity method...and a friction-less workflow can take you from feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, and unproductive to feeling calm, in control, and prepared to take on even the biggest projects." - @tricina@todoist https://t.co/zk1dNanAhq

@TwitterBusiness A6: Pen and paper for the most important tasks of the day. Trello for managing additional to-do's, tasks waiting for a response, and "I'll get to it someday" items. #TweetHour
@TwitterBusiness A3: A big misstep is to try to make too many changes at once. Start simple and build momentum. You can change your life without changing your entire life. #TweetHour https://t.co/6M8DfCe5WO
"When it comes to nourishing our bodies and brains for optimal performance, it turns out good nutrition involves both what we eat and when we eat it." - @lkolow@HubSpot https://t.co/UNGQrIFBkx
"What I’d like to see us do is to start building healthy frameworks for information consumption, and sometimes that means reducing it, sometimes that means subtracting some of the bad stuff and adding some of the good stuff." - @cjoh@bigthink https://t.co/BkuIEeomIO
"If a book doesn’t seem like it’s going to change how you think about the world, or give you a powerful new tool in your mental toolkit, drop it. Don’t give in to the belief that you have to finish every book you read. That’s why you don’t read as much as you want." - @nateliason
"Not many of us fully acknowledge that high quality breaks are needed to perform at our best in whatever it is we are working on. And even fewer choose to be intentional as to why, when, and how to spend their breaks." - @afoot_life https://t.co/jMBdokmUeb
"If you’re spending less than an hour a day on whatever’s most important to you, that’s something you can pretty easily take up to ninety or a hundred and twenty minutes and get more than fifty to a hundred percent more on results." - @sebastmarsh https://t.co/ldifJLFZd1
People get busy when they focus on productivity. Staying busy is staying occupied. I don’t think being occupied is something to strive for. Being effective is about finding more of your time unoccupied and open for other things.
Never let yourself be fooled into thinking that #multitasking is an effective use of your time. Attack individual tasks with 100% of your attention, and you'll get things done far quicker. To do two things at once is to do neither 🤹⚠️ #productivity#entrepreneurship
We need to start thinking of productivity in cyclical, rather than linear terms. We all have peak times during the day where we're better workers. Sometimes, we're alert and can do amazing thinking. Other times, all we're good for is Netflix. Accept and leverage this truth.
