Nurse Justina Obi Ejelonu.
12 years ago today, Nurse Justina Ejelonu died on the frontline caring for a man with the Ebola virus. Since her death, history has not been kind to her.
No immortalization!
Let's Retweet to celebrate a fallen hero. ๐๏ธ
@ChisomAgbafor See, the only thing i have a problem with here is your first statement, if not the guy was ๐ฏ in the wrong. But we should stand up, while you're in the bus? Nobody understands the struggle of pregnancy more than a woman, so why can't you stand up for her??
Boy grapes a child, they demand death, genital mutilation, jungle justice, life sentenceโฆ
Girl grapes a child, they are sending her back to her village. No punishment, nothing nothing
Okay ooo
Women, young or old, educated or uneducated, career-driven or business-oriented, often seem to reason alike on certain issues, as though they were cut from the same fabric.
Even here on X, youโll see women who are highly educated, well-travelled, and successful in their careers, but the moment certain topics come up, you hear their opinions and thought processes and wonder where all that education and experience went.
In fact, some of the women we still hold in such high esteem are probably benefiting from one thing: they rarely speak publicly on controversial subjects. The moment they do, especially on issues that require logic, nuance, and independent thought, some of them expose just how shallow their reasoning can be.
We saw it with Genevieve. I was genuinely surprised that someone so accomplished and well-travelled could reason that way.
Education can change a womanโs credentials, career, and social status. It doesnโt change how she thinks.
@13_xcvi I honestly don't have a problem with men who do this. The problem is the ones that come out and cry after seeing shege in the hands of who gave them "Peace"
@samson_samsen@Wizarab10 Brooooo, exactly. These are the issues. The men are the ones encouraging the "I'm just a girl" rubbish. If men actually wise, them no go get customer to dey use practice that rubbish.
Opay please:
-I don't want to play with a child.
-I don't want to claim stars.
-I don't want to invite people I sent money to yesterday.
-I don't want a N2million loan, fast and easy.
Thank you for your attention to this matter๐
