SOC 2 is not a six-month project. It's a list of questions about how you run your company.
Most of them we can already answer from your setup. The rest come back ranked by what auditors ask about first.
You still pass the audit yourself. You just walk in knowing every answer.
every firm in the directory gets a private status only you can see: contacted, replied, passed.
nobody else sees your pipeline.

Had the chance to talk with Chris before I’d ever set foot in SF. Before @fdotinc, before @ycombinator, and before we’d even really launched @polygres.
Back then, there wasn’t much to point to. We weren't a YC company. No crazy traction story. Mostly just an idea, a lot of conviction, and a really long way to go.
But Chris listened, asked thoughtful questions, and gave us some really good advice.
A lot has changed since that conversation, but I’ve carried that with me! Go read his analysis :D
