@JamesRice21 There is a young lady in Slough
Who’s developed a terrible cough.
She’s looking quite rough,
But I’m hoping though
That dear old thing will pull through.
Oh-no-6-0 today. And I’m being spoiled with that rarest of treats — smoked salmon/scrambled eggs in bed. Mitzy has positioned herself for the champagne!

4 days after an airline flight, I was “pinged” this afternoon. Negative LF/PCR tests post flight, but I did my civic duty and went for PCR test in Aberdare. So impressed by the organisation @CwmTafMorgannwg@PublicHealthW. Test booked and done in within 70 mins of pinging.

A beautiful and touching ceremony in the historic library @semmelweishu this morning. With Vice-rector Professor Peter Ferdinandy , proudly wearing the blue silk stole of Doctor Honoris Causa over my DSc robes. @burgonsoc
Last night, after a dimly lit dinner with Professors Peter Ferdinandy, Zsuzsanna Helyes and Manuel Mayr @Vascular_Prot, we had a dazzling ad hoc sightseeing tour! Today, I’m off to @semmelweishu to receive an honorary doctorate.
I’m en route to Semmelweis University, Budapest. An apprehensive flyer at the best of times, it’s unnerving to see the inside of Bristol airport after 2 years. Fingers crossed the vaccination passport works at the other end of the journey! 😷
