A must-read for law students! The key part of any law school exam essay is not stating the legal test (though you must do that!) or deciding whether the test is satisfied (often the answer is unclear), but explaining, IN GREAT DETAIL, WHY the legal test is satisfied (or not).
A common problem 1Ls have with their exams (and therefore their grades) is not understanding the role of analysis in answers. They often won't entirely get what analysis is, and why it's the most important part of an answer.
I thought I would explain how I see it. (Thread.)
Even when I disagree (as I often do) w/ @PrawfBainbridge, he is always a good read. https://t.co/uzo44R1crr I might add that corporate political contributions raise many similar—and arguably greater—concerns. https://t.co/qaurNJVUMy https://t.co/hiAt9hPcJ2
Last night we filed sued to stop Donald Trump and his allies from personally profiting by staging a for-profit MMA fight on the White House lawn.
Do we want to use our most sacred national monuments for private enrichment? The question answers itself.

Sure wish that President Trump understood that he does not have authority to command whatever he wishes via an executive order.
An executive order is a directive from the president to the executive branch on how to implement existing law.
I do (mostly corporate) law here, not politics. But I think that, irrespective of your politics, it is important to read two articles—one by @DavidAFrench, which then links to another by #AzizHuq of @UChicagoLaw—about #TheDualState and authoritarianism. https://t.co/CEOHPg7IZL
I just learned that the New Bluebook is out.
Happy Day!
(Now, if only I had remembered to send in all my suggested clarifications...)
IMHO, good Bluebooking is the "brown M&Ms test" of law practice.
Kudos to President #ValerieSmith of my alma mater, @swarthmore, for ending an illegal protest on campus. As a strong proponent of free speech & a Swattie, I staunchly support (and have participated in) PEACEFUL protest. But NOT vandalism or unlawfully taking over campus spaces.
Good thread with some wise words from our former @STCL_Houston colleague (who remains a good friend to the school), Geoff Corn. https://t.co/awL1dkMa6g
Geoffrey Corn — former judge advocate general in the U.S. Army, senior adviser on the laws of war for the U.S. Army, and now a respected law professor — spoke to The New Yorker about Israel’s operations in Gaza 🧵
@HeathMayo@Jeff_Scott123 Wonderful! I am sure his old friend Blane Michael—who played liberal foil to Wilkinson’s robust conservatism for years, including in many cases dealing w/criminal conspiracies and con law—would be proud of this opinion. Conservatives, in those days, respected the rule of law.
Someone needs to explain to #ElonMusk some basic things about the government. Including, for example, that judge are permitted to, um, interpret the law.
Shame on the Delaware legislature.

(From @ProfEricTalley)
Delaware judges are business unfriendly? Laughable.
This is about Musk's massive, absurd pay package.
What happened to protecting shareholders, at least a little? https://t.co/2T6vHnr4HP
