Impressive, 2023 TN bar exam takers had a 1st time pass rate that was up about 7% & re-exam takers up about 6% from the July 2022 results -- and kudos to my former @BelmontLaw students & colleagues on claiming the crown for TN law schools in 2023 with the highest pase rate

Just admit that the start of this long Justice Kennedy sentence makes you think of Law & Order:
"In the criminal justice system, the constant, indeed unending, duty of the judiciary is to seek and to find the proper balance between the necessity for fair and just trials and the importance of finality of judgments."
Littlest Usman had her first ballet recital yesterday. She had a ball. @Prawfish & I were there for nearly 4 hours to watch her perform for 4 minutes. Question to veteran ballet parents: always this long?

The use of this type of legislative history to attempt overcome the plain language of the movie which has more than 2 times as many Christmas references as dead terrorists (exceptional thieves) is error, the movie is practically Rudolph, also dispositive see below
Kudos to @CaneRidgeHS & its Academy of Law on facilitating an excellent civics engagement opportunity for their students - the students heard arguments in two cases, asked great questions of the judges during a Q&A, and toured the courthouse -- great to meet these future lawyers
The ability of a free people to vote is such a precious treasure - a right earned through the courage & sacrifice of those who came before from Boston & Philadelphia to Gettysburg & Omaha Beach to Seneca Falls & Selma - election day remains a beautiful thing, a sacred trust
Not a huge fan of gorefest or jump out of your seat horror films, but lingering deeply disturbing films those I can go for that around Halloween - loved the tradition as a @Georgetown undergrad of watching the Exorcist at Gaston Hall- think I might know what I am watching tonight
