#Hezbollah and #Hamas are condemned as terrorist organisations by the West. But this can never justify #Israel acts of terrorism war crimes crimes against humanity and genocide in #Gaza and #Lebanon
Today I presented the book "Green Criminology for Mexico" at the V International Congress of the @CIECrim and III of the RICFC. Thanks to Mexican Society of Criminology (SOMECRIM) for embracing and promoting this perspective in Mexico.

I’ll say this.
@jeremyrockliff get those children OUT of Ashley NOW. Listen to @MegWebbTweets@NickFeik@DavidJKillick@Tasmania_COI@TasCOSS@ProfRobWhite@ChristineMilne@jonkudelka@60Mins, the absolute experts you have doing tender work for DPAC. Me. The survivors. Angela Sdrinis.
LISTEN. To the people that know. Who can EVIDENCE the abuse, torture and hell you are allowing to continue.
GET THEM OUT. Now.
Get the Manager out. Get the Acting Director out. The ops manager. All are responsible for alleged crimes. ITS BEEN NEARLY FIVE YEARS SINCE I REPORTED alleged STAFF RAPE.
Stop protecting adults. Protect children.
I speak to the survivors. I know what they are going through. You, refuse to.
So hear me.
Get the children out. This is insanity. I said it in 2019 and every day since. Call the police. Get the children to safety. This is torture. At what point is this a choice, made by people, who become personally liable?
Because it is a choice. We all know there are alternatives so we are you choosing, harm to the MOST vulnerable children.
Lives continue to be destroyed.

@NickFeik I think there is an appetite across the whole Parliament- all except Libs- to close Ashley within 100 days of taking Govt with funding allocated to service providers to care for the 18 young people currently detained. Tas can do this now! #politas
Most Tasmanians think Ashley is closed because Libs announced its closure but it is still operating and closure date gets pushed out. Now @jeremyrockliff wants to fill it up again with his crackdown on youth offending. We need every party to commit to a date for closure. #politas
Last observation of the evening. It’s 2am, and so many victim survivors I know and love in Tassie are on twitter, clearly unable to sleep.
Trauma, insomnia, nightmares, hypervigilance, inability to switch off to the horror unfolding..? Whatever it is, it’s preventable.
Unleashing task forces of the very police who’ve been complicit in cover ups of the WORST kind regarding child sexual abuse in Tasmania, is creating the next generation of people suffering in the same ways.
@RockliffTeam don’t care, they designed this. And I’d really like to move home asap - so if you could kindly stop protecting pedophiles and read literally any research - reach out to @LeahBromfield or @ProfRobWhite for advice, that’d be swell.
To say you’re failing our kids is a massive understatement.
All tourists need to be aware of the risks in Tasmania until it is made safer 😣

Eye-watering waste. We know for sure from decades of evidence that this will not keep the community safer. We will have wasted $627m that could have been used to redesign out-dated health, education & social services that should be helping kids & families with complex needs.
"We can stop the revolving door and improve community safety by addressing the drivers of crime. It's time for the ACT to truly lead with a smarter approach to justice." More from Tom Calma and Kate Carnell, two of our ACT patrons, in the Canberra Times today 👇
@Lyshrose The threat of court action is yet another important lever for needed change - but legality rather than empathy is never the preferred course of action.
