Srinagar Police Launches BHAROSA QR: QR Code-Based Feedback System to Enhance Trust and Citizen Engagement.

In a significant step towards further promoting transparency, accountability, and strengthening public trust, Srinagar Police has launched a QR Code-based Feedback Management System named BHAROSA QR to collect real-time feedback from the general public regarding the functioning and services rendered by the police.

This citizen-friendly initiative allows individuals to scan QR codes placed at all police stations, police offices, and prominent public locations such as bus stops, marketplaces, and major institutions. Once scanned, users are redirected to a secure feedback page where they can share their experiences, suggestions, and concerns related to police behavior, responsiveness, and overall service delivery. The process is quick, simple, and takes less than a minute.

To further ease communication, Srinagar Police has also introduced a dedicated WhatsApp number: 8899112888, where citizens can send feedback directly through text, voice messages, photos, or videos. The system is anonymous, and designed for accessibility, encouraging inclusive participation from all segments of society.

A dedicated feedback management cell at SSP Srinagar office will regularly monitor the feedback, ensuring prompt action on grievances and recognition of commendable conduct by police personnel.

This forward-thinking initiative has been conceptualized by young IPS Officer Vaibhav Meena, SDPO Nehru Park, for community-oriented police service in Srinagar.

This initiative is part of Srinagar Police’s ongoing efforts to modernize policing and deepen community engagement. This is the latest in a series of citizen-friendly initiatives, which include dedicated helplines for police verification queries and reporting drug-related activities.
Citizens are encouraged to make full use of the platform and contribute to building a safer, more transparent, and trustworthy policing environment in Srinagar.

The illegal extraction racket in Khimber - Syed pora and AsthanMarg was flagged—but buried- Why?
Because it involved powerful interests?

The letter was addressed to DC Srinagar, Dr. Bilal, yet no action was taken.

This silence reeks of complicity. Administrative integrity stands compromised. Accountability is not just due—it’s embarrassingly overdue.

The DDC member has already raised the alarm.

Will the system still look away?

Credit must be given to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq sb for his remarkable shift—from once being the poster boy of pro-Pakistan sentiment, famously echoing slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” from the pulpit to now openly calling for accountability from Pakistan and justice for Kashmiris. His bold remark in a recent interview with The Quint, urging to “punish Pakistan, not Kashmiris,” marks a significant departure from his earlier positions. From sermonising separatism to advocating for statehood, it has indeed been a political pilgrimage.

His recent appeal for peace and dialogue to bridge the widening gap between Srinagar and New Delhi reflects a noteworthy evolution in both tone and substance deserves appreciation.

Furthermore, his unequivocal condemnation of the Pahalgam attack and leadership in unity protests—despite being under house arrest and heading a party that remains banned—demonstrate considerable political courage and a sincere commitment to constructive engagement.

In a landscape often dominated by extremes, a moderate voice speaking the language of reconciliation, statehood, and peace stands out. New Delhi would do well to acknowledge this shift—especially when it comes from someone long regarded as a symbol of separatist sentiment.

Here we go again — another loud, theatrical cat-and-dog brawl meant to fool the masses.

You trade insults like enemies in public, then huddle together over Iftaar like long-lost cousins.

One day it’s mudslinging, the next it’s selfies at ‘unity’ dinners and shady backroom deals.

This isn’t politics — it’s a circus and the script is older than your recycled promises. We’re done clapping for your staged fights. The people aren’t gullible anymore — we see right through this drama.
