This is a great week to reflect on what we're thankful for. We're grateful for our world class faculty. They're moving humanity forward through innovation and discovery, yet they always make time for our students. To all of our faculty: thank you!
The senior @SchmidtFellows conference in Chicago was absolutely extraordinary. Getting to learn from this group of brilliant, kind, and creative scientists from all over the world and across all disciplines is a privilege I will never take for granted.
Speaking to MechSE undergrad Michael Haughey, you can’t help but smile. He lights up a room with his enthusiasm for being an engineering student. Read Michael's story here: https://t.co/ZyIj7a7RjG @uofigrainger

For those wondering, the sign language translator at tonight’s Lewiston press conference is incredibly important for these briefings.
Four members of Maine’s deaf community were killed, so their family especially needs this form of communication.
While the faces she is making might look like funny, emoting is an important part of ASL sign language.
A day in the lab: relaxing with a little optical profilometry work 🔬? Our REUs have been doing great! #nsffunded with @tribo_tweets at @UofIllinois MRL

13 years ago this month, my son was diagnosed with brain cancer. I promised him that I would do everything I could to help kids with #ChildhoodCancer. It’s the only thing he asked us to do. Not to help him, but to help others. I would be grateful for a follow or a RT to spread awareness and honor his journey. 🙏🏻
