I spent 8 hours reading “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” by @ramit
Most people think it’s a book about budgeting.
It isn’t.
It’s a blueprint for making money effortless.
Here are 20 ideas that can literally change your financial future: 🧵
A side quest reminds you that you are bigger than your job, title, or current routine.
Recently my manager and a few of us were discussing our hobbies, and something interesting came up.
Our European colleagues seem to actively live their hobbies. Cycling, hiking, photography, running, whatever it is - they make proper time for it.
For many of us Indians, hobbies somehow became things we mention when someone asks, “What are your hobbies?” 😅
Work, commute, responsibilities… and somewhere along the way, the things we once did just because we enjoyed them disappeared.
Maybe we don’t need every free hour to be productive.
Sometimes we just need something that has absolutely nothing to do with our career.
@AlexHormozi Working weekends isn’t automatically toxic.
If it’s temporary, intentional, and moving you somewhere you actually want to go, it can be a worthwhile trade.
@Codie_Sanchez Worry has a strange way of making us suffer things that haven’t even happened.
Do what you can. Pray if you believe. Then let tomorrow arrive on its own.
@SahilBloom You don’t build confidence by telling yourself you’re disciplined.
You build it by collecting evidence.
Getting up and training when you could have stayed in bed is one small piece of evidence every morning.
@flyspicejet just turned my 3-hour Dubai → Mumbai flight into an all-night endurance test.
It’s now almost 6 AM here in Dubai.
The flight was supposed to fly at around 10 PM.
It first got delayed by 2 hours.
Then 4.
Then 6.
We spent 4+ hours around check-in. Then moved to the gate because departure was pushed to 3:45 AM.
Boarding finally started around 4.
Thought this harassment was over.
Nope.
We’ve now been sitting INSIDE the aircraft for almost 2 hours. No refreshments. No proper communication. Just a plane full of tired people sitting like ducks wondering when we’re actually going to move.
The explanation we’re being given is about ATC clearance and the flight path through Iran.
Meanwhile everyone has FlightRadar on their phones in 2026. People can literally see aircraft moving around us.
I’ve done 10+ hour flights that felt easier than this Dubai–Mumbai journey.
Delays happen. People understand that.
But keeping passengers stranded for an entire night with poor communication and then trapping them inside an aircraft for hours is not “just a delay.”
This has genuinely been one of my worst flying experiences.
Never taking @flyspicejet again.
Anyone else had an experience like this with them?
Dear SpiceJet,
Kindly shut down your company and hand these routes over to an airline capable of operating them properly.
Passengers have now been stuck at Dubai Airport for more than 10 hours, including over 2 hours sitting inside the aircraft itself.
So no, this is no longer “just a delay” or a “congestion issue.”
At some point, the responsibility sits with the airline.
If this is the level of service you can provide, take a lock, shut the doors, and let someone more capable fly these routes.
Passengers deserve better.
@RobertGreene Sometimes the most useful conversation you can have is with yourself.
Not “who made me angry?”
But “why did this have so much power over me?”
@SahilBloom Maybe money should remove unnecessary suffering, not every inconvenience.
A little friction keeps you adaptable.
A life where nothing ever goes wrong can make you surprisingly bad at handling life when something finally does.
@dmuthuk You don’t necessarily need to start a business to build wealth.
Your salary can buy ownership too - equities, index funds, businesses through stocks, or other productive assets.
Earn through work.
Own through investing.
That combination can take you very far.
@AlexHormozi We spend the first half of life worrying about what everyone thinks.
Then eventually realize everyone was mostly thinking about themselves.
Would be nice to learn that one earlier.
@Codie_Sanchez Your life rarely changes because of one big decision.
It changes because of the small things you quietly repeat until they become who you are.
Growing up is realising your parents were sometimes making financial decisions you didn’t understand.
“No, we don’t need it.”
Hits very differently when the money starts coming from your account.
A surprisingly useful career skill:
Knowing when to say,
“I don’t know, but I’ll find out.”
Pretending to know everything usually becomes expensive eventually.
The older I get, the more I appreciate boring people.
No unnecessary drama.
No disappearing acts.
No mind games.
Just decent people who mean what they say.
One of the strangest parts of earning your own money:
₹500 felt huge when your parents gave it to you.
₹5,000 disappears now and you can not notice it.
