@ChrisKirchie I totally agree. I went through implementing IPA in the last year and the first year was more challenging, but then gets better and now I am a bit more "expert".
A4 Late assignments do not punish the student grades Homework seen as practice Homework score does not affect the students’ grade. Students do the homework for the value it has in developing their skills not because they get a completion full point credit #MSUM644#EQUITYGRADING

A3 (3) Myth 4 Students are no longer held accountable there is the fear the students will not work punish the mistake or late assignments is still seen as something useful #MSUM644#EQUITYGRADING
A2 (2) Rand self-assessments are still part of my teaching. However, if your strategies are very different from your colleagues, then there is friction with students, parents, and educators. People compare. #MSUM644#SBG
A2 (1) My background is in Elementary Education and back in Catalonia and Nicaragua I was able to teach and grade on mastering of the #competenciesbasiques Now, in High school there is the mindset to correct everything and penalize on mistakes. #MSUM644#EQUITYGRADING#SBG
A1 (1) This year a colleague introduced me to Hardvard Edcast: Grading for equity with Joe Feldman. I started getting rid of late work penalties, having homework affecting their grade, offering retakes of assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects #MSUM644#EQUITYGRADING
