@pinkfriday988 @hostilebme Those boys obviously have a high level of respect for that older guard. He might be one of the only positive male influences that they see. So trying to calm him down may have been their way of hoping that he didn't lose his job and that they stay connected with him.

@AfricanArchives I have forgotten how young Whoopi Goldberg was when she broke into acting. We are now used to seeing a more seasoned version of Whoppi. So I keep looking at her Mother whenever I see this picture just as a force of habit rather than the younger breakout star that she was in 1986.

She is one of the reasons why I looked into the graduate program at Governors State Univ. after returning to the Chicago area. Nothing but love for her.

@AT&T is truly the Grinch that stole Christmas. I know that U-Verse and Internet are not as essential as heat, water, and electricity but it would be nice to know when or if the service is going to be restored after 5 days straight.

I'm wondering if my HOA does a quality control check on its snow removal contractors. The mailbox should have been an indication that my house is occupied and that dumping the snow from the street was not a good idea. #LifeOnACuldesac
