On 29/07/25 at 5am, before the scheduled the ceasefire meeting at Preah Vihear, Thai soldiers lured 20 Cambodian soldiers in the guise of taking a group picture to commemorate the end of the war when suddenly a group of armed Thai militants ambushed the group and captured 20 Cambodian soldier! 1 escaped, 19 captured, 2 suspected shot and killed.
