Soccer 🤝 Placekicking
Kids who grow up playing soccer naturally have an edge when learning how to placekick.
One simple adjustment can turn a high school soccer player into a Division I College Football player.
Here is the adjustment we made to Brycen’s technique that had him hitting 45 yard field goals by the end of the session! (Class of 2029, Sam Houston High School)
Next up on our Houston Division Training Spotlight is Cam Carter (Class of 2028) @CamdenQCarter.
Cam has put in the work this Winter / Spring. His drive and work ethic has allowed him to improve dramatically these last 6 months. With his continued work, Cam is going to be amongst the best in the country by his Senior year.
Cam went 11/11 in PATs and 6/6 in fields goals (long of 46) for Summer Creek High School this Spring Ball.

Want more height and distance on your kickoffs?
Add a bag in front of your tee to overemphasize your hurdle on your follow through
More Hurdle = Bigger Kickoff
Are you missing your field goals left? Put a cone in between your plant and the ball to keep yourself from planting too close and hitting the outside panel.

Are you struggling with your distance on field goals? A quick adjustment in your stance might be the solution!
In your stance, point your belly button to the outside panel of the football instead of the inside panel.
This will allow you to torque your hips and work in partnership with your leg to create more force on contact.
Good work today with Sebastian from Strake Jesuit 💪
Do you tend to overthink your technique in your stance?
If you try to think about every little technical detail before you kick, you are likely to have breakdowns somewhere.
Use the drillwork to hone in on technique, but let muscle memory take over for full kicks.
In my playing days, I always used the cue “Smooth, Hit Your Target” to relax and let my muscle memory take over.
Great session with a future Division 1 Kicker, @SamuelDelg1405
