@drmarkhyman I’m building a solution for this exact problem. metabolic health is so crucial.
If we can improve insulin resistance, a lot of these diseases from poor diets, completely go away.
Yeah, domestic first class is not worth it unless you’re very tall and want a bit more room.
International business class is one of those things that if you try once, it’s very hard to go back to economy.
Particularly the middle eastern airlines. They do business/first at another level.
But my problem wasn't calories. It was insulin resistance and inflammation that standard bloodwork barely catches until it's advanced.
I’m on a journey to fix my metabolic health so hopefully I can help many others with theirs.
Will keep you posted.
I eat organic. Pasture-raised meat. Almost no processed food. I thought I was "healthy."
Then my labs came back.
A1C rising. HDL low. ApoB high.
I looked fine on the outside. But something was clearly off.
This is the part nobody talks about.
You can do all the "right" things — avoid sugar, eat clean, exercise — and still have your metabolic health quietly getting worse.
Most advice stops at "eat less, move more" or "cut calories."
@Jainadave_ Great idea. I didn’t realize I was so out of balance in protein until I started tracking with my app.
When you prioritize protein, there’s a much less chance you’re eating ultra processed foods with added sugars.
@1ssve The pandemic destroyed college social norms. That’s where most people learned fun=not sober.
Those few years changed everything.
Gen Z is now post pandemic in a hyper inflated world. Who has an extra $50-$100 for drinks on a night out?
Most people tracking calories are still eating 80–120g of added sugar without realizing it. Drinks, sauces, “healthy” snacks, and packaged foods are quietly destroying metabolic health. Calorie counters don’t flag this. That’s why people stay inflamed and insulin resistant.
