If you’ve not previously heard it performed, then come and hear for yourselves at @TodTownHall on Saturday 27th April at 7:30pm.
We are also performing Vivaldi’s Gloria (knocks spots off the Laura Branigan version) 😉 and excerpts from @timthecomposer’s “The Fire of Olympus” 3/4
This week, we will be performing Handel’s marvellous “Dettingen Te Deum” alongside the mighty @TodOrchestra
For those not familiar with the piece, this was written to celebrate the British army and allies’ victory over the French at the Battle of Dettingen. 1/4 🧵#Choral#Choir
Leeds' Hercules Project is sorry to learn of the passing of Prof. Karl Galinsky, University of Texas. He opened our 2013 conference in Leeds (pictured) and his 'The Herakles Theme' (1972) was inspirational for all our volumes. A pleasure to work with, he will be greatly missed.
I'm *delighted* to announce that the final MS of the final volume of the Leeds Hercules Project has just been delivered to the publisher! The 4-volume set has been 11 years in the making, so this feels like something of a milestone😀🍾 @Hercules_Leeds @LeedsClassics@LCSLeeds
We've just started rehearsing for Noel Coward's Hayfever, which is going to be a blast - ticket-booking link to follow shortly! https://t.co/nGtdaDaJGc
