Reddit as a solo founder, honest numbers:
Comments took me from 33 to 289 karma in about two days. My own posts: 206 views, 1 upvote, 0 replies, 2 auto-removed.
With no account history, Reddit rewards showing up in other people's threads, not posting your own.

17 users isn't a destination. It's where I stop testing channels and start repeating what works. The next 100 won't come from new platforms. They'll come from doing Reddit, LinkedIn, and IH better.
17 active users on the free plan. 12 days of marketing https://t.co/xFBcHT9sVd as a solo founder. The path wasn't what I expected, and the channels I started with weren't the ones that worked.
The biggest pivot: stopped writing meta-marketing posts about my own process. That format burned out IH and LinkedIn audiences after week one. Switched to product observations and specific user insights. Engagement doubled.
@simonw The "AI-powered" framing was the product. Same ad-targeting tech Facebook has run for a decade, repackaged as more invasive-sounding because the buzzword lets vendors charge premium. The FTC settlement is what happens when marketing claims outrun what the tech can quietly back up
@swyx The interesting part is this works as a separate phase, not in-place discipline. Vibe-coded velocity and production-readiness don't have to fight in real time anymore. The new shape is: throw it together, then have an agent do it right. Two-phase coding.
@arvidkahl Most likely shift: audited subsets of npm/PyPI as a service. Instead of every team auditing their tree, companies pay a vendor that takes liability for the curated mirror. npm's openness assumed honest publishers + community vigilance, LLM-attacker speed broke that math.
@tdinh_me The interesting line is the one where Otto gets permission to skip the session. Most agent prompts punish silence because the model is trained to produce something. Without explicit permission to do nothing, free time collapses into a roleplay of free time.
@marclou@DataFast_ Account-level API keys are the line where analytics tools stop being solo toys and become team infrastructure. Most products take a year to cross it because user-bound auth is simpler. 2 days from Tony's request to shipped is faster than most teams handle bug fixes.
AI tools write code beautifully. Picking which approach to use is still on me, and the 30 minutes before the first line is where the real work lives.

I don't store any of the files. Each document gets translated and immediately discarded. No history kept on my side.
8 formats supported: docx, xlsx, pptx, pdf, txt, md, srt, vtt.
Last week was all document translation for Fenly. 8 formats live now: docx, xlsx, pptx, pdf, md, txt, srt, vtt.
Translating the text was the easy part. Keeping the original formatting intact took the rest of the week.

V1 leftovers:
- Old .doc files (90s Word). Not worth keeping intact yet.
- PDF into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew. Bundled fonts don't cover those alphabets.
- One bold word inside a regular sentence sometimes loses its bold.
