A survey by Nationwide has found that people are changing what they value in a home. For a third of people it used to be location that held most value but now a garden and living space are more important.
The Chancellor has announced a one year extension to the retail discount to leisure and hospitality sectors, as well as abolishing business rates for firms with rateable value below £51,000 for 12 months. This is a positive measure for many small firms in the UK #Budget2020

@thetimes says that the higher rate #SDLT has raised £6.6billion instead of the estimated £2.9billion but it is not doing what it was intended to do (dampen the property market to help first time buyers). What do you think? Should it be scrapped in the #budget ?
