One of my fav Bert Cooper moments in Mad Men is when Don shows up for work after getting beaten and robbed, goes into his office, finds Bert sitting in his chair, and Bert launches into a history lesson that ends with him threatening Don twice, and forcing him to sign a contract.
Everyone should watch The Wire at least once, it’s not just a show, it’s a masterclass in storytelling, social commentary, and character. Still unmatched.
Worst decisions/mistakes in human history:

(4) Fast and Furious 9
(6) The Taco Bell Seafood Salad
(7) Japan attacking Pearl Harbor
(8) The Empire leaving an exhaust port on the Death Star
(9) The Perm Mullet
(10) The Chris Gaines alter ego
(11) Portland drafting Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan
(12) Burger King’s Halloween Whopper
(13) Blockbuster opting NOT to buy Netflix for $50 million
(14) Building communities next to active volcanos
(15) Summertime Jorts

Pooping used to be a sacred ritual of inner peace. Then came smartphones. Now the only real zen left is vomiting; raw, primal, no notifications, just you and the void. Pure, undistracted surrender. If someone’s scrolling mid puke, it’s over for the species 😮💨.
we have normalised overconsumption. listening to a podcast while we walk, scrolling reels in the toilet, listening to music while we cook, watching a show on Netflix while we eat. it’s as if there is NO breathing space for your mind. you’re constantly trying to fill the void, the stillness and yet here you’re complaining about feeling groggy and demotivated.
