From what Ive seen the NFL CBA only applies to current, former, or incoming players who have either been drafted or have begun negotiations to be signed as an NFL player to receive NFLPA coverage.

Seems hard to believe the NFLPA would go out of their way to choose this hill to die on for a player who is not in their bargaining unit. But who knows
