Something finally clicked for me today.

Someone told me their younger brother said, “I’m broke. I need opportunities. I need money.”

And their sister replied, “You’re broke? Go and find TechnicalBen on X.”

I felt a chill in my chest.

Because I realized “broke” is slowly becoming something different in this community.

Not just having no money. Not being useless. Not being finished.

It’s the starting point.

The idea that good things can still happen to you. That you can learn, create, find opportunities, make money, and completely change your life.

That’s what I want TechnicalBen to represent.

I want to build one of the most interesting communities of Nigerian young people who are figuring life out, creating, learning, making money and becoming better versions of themselves.

You don’t need $1 million to show up.

You don’t even need $1,000.

Start with what you have.

And honestly, I’m excited that I could become the person people think of when they’re broke and trying to change their situation.

That means more to me than you know.

I have launched the actual test of this AI Glass that I built to help blind people and people with visual impairments
I started testing it directly on the face of a person with a visual impairment to see how it would work in real life👓

And what amazed me the most is that after the blind person wore the glass, he said that for him, it was amazing

Honestly, this would be one of the biggest milestones of my journey.

I'm hosting my very first Tech & Careers event this year.

For the two years, I've consistently hosted free career and tech Spaces every Wednesday. We've talked about remote jobs, CVs, freelancing, marketing, networking, and everything people need to build better careers we have changed thousands of lives.

Now it's time to bring those conversations into the real world.

Before the end of the year, we'll be meeting in Lagos, most likely on the mainland, for a much more personal experience. I don't want this to feel like a traditional conference.

I want it to feel like a live podcast where we have real conversations about careers, money, opportunities, and what it actually takes to change your life.

If you're trying to break into tech, looking for your first job, thinking about switching careers, or simply want to connect with ambitious people, this event is for you.

Attendance will be limited and will most likely be paid to cover venue and production costs.

I've also had a lot of people reach out to volunteer already, and I truly appreciate it. We'll share more details on that soon.
