1/ Just finished. A great read demonstrating now the Carolingians took a largely neutral position regarding images, & strongly rejected the conclusions of Nicaea II. The author aptly demonstrates, much to the consternation of modern EO Apologists, that -
@MetzUAC1530@HansFiene None of the missionaries that I’ve talked to could articulate even a creedal definition for me. Every time it presumed as either Modalism or Arianism.
@BasedMikeLee I wish you fought as hard to pass the SAVE act as you do to have your belief system be recognized as a religion whose historic tenants you completely reject.
@valorthodoxia@TheOtherPaul2 No response to what? Lolol What question did you even ask, man? You were the one being posed with a question.
“Sola Script leads to gay”
“How?”
“I figured. You have no response.”
Are you AI?
@IFFFMEISTER@logos_asarkos Michael Pomazanski in his Orthodox Dogmatics confirms this and states that it’s not a big deal since the differences are not of immersive size and that the prayers & liturgy of the church are of a higher value. Can’t give exact citation atm
“I can’t believe you won’t call us Christians but also all of your creeds are unbiblical & an abomination why are you being so mean spirited? Let us be a part of a religion that we reject & mock all core tenants of!”
LDSchizos really are, genuinely, very bizarre people.
@dominicptaranto They do. In my hometown LDS women would go out with non LDS guys (even allowing some 1st & 2nd base level activity), get them to attend a Ward, get baptized, then dump the guy and move on.
@patristicpill Does “Prot” just mean Normie Evangelical Baptist to you? Would take you just a smidge more time to read something like the Augsburg Confession to see how off so many of your bizarre takes are.
Theophylact of Ohrid, on Luke 22:32:
"Although for a little time thou must be shaken, yet thou hast the seeds of faith laid up within thee; although the tempting wind cast down the leaves, yet the root lives, and thy faith shall not fail."
Drove out to Eastern WA for one of the more wild Estate Sales that I’ve ever been to. Found a cool book holder and an 1876 Swedish translation of Johan Arndt’s Postils for $10
