Huge news for Latin America, and the world:
Lula da Silva has won reelection in Brazil, despite blatant electoral meddling by the US.
Brazil is the biggest country in Latin America, a major geopolitical power, and a founding member of BRICS.
The US empire wanted to put back in power the corrupt, far-right Bolsonaro dynasty, which is extremely pro-US and pro-Israel.
The Bolsonaros vowed to minimize Brazil's role in BRICS, serve the interests of Brazilian oligarchs and big landlords at the expense of the working class, uphold the global US dollar system, and let US corporations plunder Brazil's natural resources -- especially its rare earths and critical minerals, which the US wants to reduce its reliance on China.
In contrast, Lula comes from a poor family and has always put the interests of the working class first. He has a non-aligned foreign policy, 100% supports Palestine, strongly believes in the importance of Global South integration and cooperation, and was a co-founder of BRICS.
Lula will deepen Brazil's partnership with China and the rest of the Global South. He will also continue to push for the transformation of the international financial system and will challenge the global dominance of the US dollar, which infuriates Washington.
STEVE BANNON: The Secretary of State and the President need to come out now, cut off diplomatic relations, and shut down everything with Brazil.
No trade, nothing. This is an illegitimate Marxist globalist government.
If you don’t think this election stealing is coming here, you're dead wrong.
If we don't take action, it’s happening here next Tuesday.
@ggreenwald@brando99981@mtaibbi One thing if you didn't have a strong opinion about the election where you live, but you did. A lot of us took your word for it, and then when the game is going on you disappear. You remind me of one of these Vegas touts that sells info, and is never wrong. Smells like a grift!

@ggreenwald People, except you, are screaming about how the US and social media tried to put a thumb on the scale of the election. You're unexpectantly silent about it, aren't you?
My favorite part of this tweet from this woman claiming to be so upset and shocked over alleged antisemitism is that she uses the phrase ‘Islamic-Nazi’ in her post. Yeah she’s totally against religious bigotry. Clearly.
The entire country is uniting against Trump, trying to build the largest margin to send him a message to stop the war, get prices down, and stop the self-enrichment.
The entire country except Haley Stevens, that is, who wouldn’t even utter Abdul’s name yesterday and is now whining about an independent ad that goes after Israel
President Trump says "I looked at his ass and I've never done that with a man before," in reference to Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH). He also says "off the record," he does so for women: "By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before, Nicki Minaj."
Politico: Chris Van Hollen says a Democratic-controlled Senate should pursue Medicare for All.
“The reality is people are facing huge increases in premiums and copays. … So we need a Medicare-for-All-type solution,” Van Hollen said. “This is the kind of debate we need to have.”
