I’m writing a memoirette about my experiences debating at a tournament in Texas in 2019. Almost done now. Anticipate.
In the meantime, pls drop any questions you have for me in that regard
@abasimaenyinn You’re welcome.
If you don’t mind multiple movies by the same director, I strongly recommend all of Christopher Nolan’s movies, except Dunkirk, which I didn’t like.
You can start with Memento (2000) and The Prestige (2006)
I’m naturally assuming you’ve watched Inception (2010)
@Lilys_verses Hey, I usually write short fiction stories on Substack but I just wrote a memoir about an international debate I participated in in Texas.

@abasimaenyinn I think your teachers were not the norm.
I didn’t learn ephemeral till primary 4; I learnt silhouette on my own (not mentioned in class until secondary); my dad taught me DNA.
Besides, a teacher could teach a new word only for a classmate to confess not knowing what it means
@abasimaenyinn Yes, in the sense that if they’re taught they can learn. But saying they should have known those words from the jump is not true.
I don’t consider myself to have been the average teenager. I don’t think you were either
@abasimaenyinn The truth is madder than fiction, fam
Nigeria first took me out when they said a snake entered an office, swallowed money and escaped 😭😅
Everyone cheered. Then there was a banging on the locked door. It was Jennifer, our coach.
‘Why are you making such a noise so late at night? Everyone, disperse to your rooms!'
The End
The first time I kissed a boy was at a Truth or Dare game.
There were eight of us in the hotel room, four boys and four girls. We had come to Abuja for a dance competition which ended earlier that day, with us coming second place. This was our last night here.
I placed one hand on his chest, another on his neck, parted my lips slightly and let him kiss me. Goosebumps ran down my hands as my brain exploded with pleasure. I didn't want to stop.
