The mistake is spending big on the wrong player.

When you look at players like:

Their fees looked crazy at the time.

Now they look normal because the quality justified the investment.

That's why the Fernandes debate is so interesting.

João Neves is the perfect example.

Many fans wanted the cheaper option.
