His mom did terrible things but John blames the guardian cuz she was clearly manipulated by the guardian. The same guardian who also tried to manipulate John.

@Gothams_Kitchen Cause Guy Gardner is still a good guy. He's brash and arrogant but he isn't stupid. At that time, Superman was potentially a threat to his sector so he was willing to fight. John in that scene is not a threat and Guy doesn't know about Noah.

Throughout the show we see John loves his family but he was holding on to the anger and wasn't ready to forgive his family. He doesn't hate his mom, in that scene he lets it go and forgives.
