As we closed Day Two of the #MarComms Workshop under the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, the #Fellows opened up their #MarComms operations.
Through a MarComms #peeraudit, Fellows had the opportunity to assess their approaches, identify gaps, and exchange practical recommendations on channels, content, processes, and performance.
The #MarCommsHotSeat then brought real experiences to the table. Fellows shared what has worked, what hasn't, the lessons behind their marketing journeys, and how stronger #storytelling can help communicate the value and #impact of their #EdTech solutions.

Over the past two weeks, we've seen the questions, the feedback, the praise, the frustrations, and the conversations about #eKash across Rwanda. As the country's payment ecosystem adapts to a major change, we believe it's important to share the numbers openly and let the data speak for itself.
Since Rwanda moved payments below RWF 10 million onto eKash, millions of transactions have flowed between banks and mobile wallets, connecting more people, businesses, and communities than ever before.
In the first two weeks:
• 10M+ transactions processed
• Merchant payments up 10x
• Value moved up 15x
• Success rates above 97%
The numbers tell a simple story: Rwanda's interoperable payment ecosystem is becoming part of everyday life. More people are sending money. More merchants are receiving payments. More value is moving across banks, mobile wallets, SACCOs, and other financial institutions than ever before.
As the saying goes, the numbers don't lie, more than 10 million transactions have already been processed through eKash, moving over RWF 960 billion across Rwanda's financial system.
We are still learning, still listening, and still working closely with banks, mobile network operators, SACCOs, and other financial institutions to continuously improve the experience and deliver the seamless, reliable payment services that Rwandans deserve. This is not the end of the journey. It's the beginning of a more cashless and financially inclusive Rwanda.
