The cost of transportation in Japan is what empowers the affordability, including the remote places. The transportation cost goes into every product and service.

It costs less (even at 100¥ = $1) to send a suitcase overnight in Japan than an envelope of paper in the US.

I asked Gemini to find a weekly email from my kid’s school to find out what time is the early release today. It got it. Saved me a bunch of dead time. And I can actually trust it now.

With LLM, recall rate is more important than accuracy. “Last mile” retrieval can just fit inside the LLM context.
