@RollforInit20 is at 89 subscribers on YouTube. The push to 100 has been tough and we’ve been feeling the fatigue lately. It would mean the world to us if we could get to 100 in the next few weeks! #ttrpgfamily
@Warlockdnd Saw it as a kid and spent years trying to find “that fantasy movie with the cyclops, the guy who turns into a duck, and someone dies by spikes coming out of a wall”. It was an amazing day when Google figured out what that was!
@GoblinQChesh Keep on doing your thing Chesh! You’ve handled this with grace and it’s one of the many reasons you’re coming out on top. Loved the Sorbo review, can’t wait to see what you’ve got in the works!
It's D&D Day!!! After a full month away we get to play D&D today!!!
Live on https://t.co/laEOzOwV9h at 5:30 central! Check out @RollforInit20 for more updates!
Curiosity and Zero streamed last week for a new show: RAW for Initiative. They go through and discuss the various 5e classes. If you missed the livestream the video is up on youtube now: https://t.co/S5Xmp2sb30
Curiosity wants to help me promote the channel more, so I've created a channel specific twitter for Roll for Initiative. It would help out a lot if you could follow @RollforInit20 Thanks!
@kawaii_tornado @DmTales Very much this! It’s fun to see my players do a little happy dance when they get items. My players like to feel epic in their battles, so I’m fine playing that up. It’s something we talked about during our zero session, so they level up a lot and get op weapons/items.
@RpgMatch It’s something I want to offer in June / July. Get the layout of the map, reframe it for roll20, add tokens and DM information, and lighting effects. Still learning the lighting and this is a busy time for my “real job” otherwise I’d love to offer the service.
I’d love to hear some NPC ideas that you’ve wanted to share but haven’t gotten a chance to yet! I’ll go first: a blacksmith more skilled than her station allows for. Turns out she’s the god of smithing, got bored and set up shop. Curses rude customers and blesses the polite ones.
@RpgMatch I tend to write the next section of plot after each session as the players provide more inspiration than anything. That takes a few hours, sometime more, plus a few hours working on battle maps or other artwork. Sunday is brainstorming, Wednesday is writing, Saturday is cleanup.
Psychology/DM Thoughts: Most peoples passive perception is probably a 7. The amount of information around us that we don’t retain would be overwhelming if we captured it all. People with eidetic memories must have a rough time in high traffic places like amusement parks.
Note: not the official answer!
As a high school counselor I don’t get to do fun activities in the classroom often. Thought this would be a fun way to interact with students during passing time!
