Honored to be inducted into the American College of Psychiatrists and to join an inspiring group of colleagues and friends recognized for demonstrated excellence and national leadership in psychiatry. Feeling humbled & energized for what’s ahead. #Psychiatry#MentalHealthMatters
Kennedy makes unfounded claim that keto diet can ‘cure’ schizophrenia. There’s no clinical trial data to support this assertion. If you or a family member suffers from schizophrenia, get your treatment recommendations from a psychiatrist, not the Sec of HHS. https://t.co/FyBW9PQhMT
Quoted in @EverydayHealth on the emerging science behind diet & depression. Early data suggest metabolic approaches may play an adjunctive role in mood disorders, alongside evidence-based psychiatric care. Metabolic psychiatry is a space to watch: https://t.co/2ZWmuyvfJs
Shocking: “As many as 30,000 people could have been killed in the streets of Iran on Jan. 8 and 9 alone, two senior officials of the country’s Ministry of Health told TIME….The only parallel offered by online databases occurred in the Holocaust.” https://t.co/wJJAtYGea5
The death of one human being in Minneapolis rightly causes the rage of “progressives” around the world. Credible reports put the number of Iranians killed by their criminal rulers upward of sixty thousand. Mendacious regime itself admits “several thousand.” Where is the rage?
There was so much talk about the protests in Iran – but they drowned in blood. The world has not helped enough the Iranian people, it has stood aside.
What will Iran become after this bloodshed? If the regime survives, it sends a clear signal to every bully – kill enough people, and you stay in power.
🇬🇧@thetimes: “The Sunday Times has obtained a new report from doctors on the ground in Iran, which says at least 16,500 protesters have died and 330,000 have been injured, most of them in two days of utter slaughter.”
Madam President @UN_PGA, why are you silent?
The sudden presence of #Iran at #Davos is an absolute scandal. Davos claims to be a sanctuary of dialogue, yet it offers its platform to a regime that has just massacred 20,000 of its own citizens. If Davos does not cancel this invitation, Davos should be shamed and boycotted.
@JasonMBrodsky if these individuals did not disclose their links and support for organizations involved Political violence such as in the Larijani the case the taxpayer funds spent on her residency training @CWRUSOM & @IUMedSchool should be clawed back from her.
One of the failures of U.S. #Iran policy over decades was the granting of visas and green cards to the Islamic Republic's elite and IR sympathizers while Americans were held hostage and the regime plotted to kill Americans. I will never understand what the U.S. government was thinking--or not thinking--in the original immigration decisions of these cases. It is a disgrace. But kudos to the Trump administration for finally taking a close look here. It's long overdue.
