@cry0n1 @FedorovMykhailo @elonmusk Triangulating positions will be a logistical nightmare due to starlinks implementation. Not impossible by any means but usually "not worth the effort". Just unplug when not in use and should be relatively safe.

Sorry but it's unlikely they will get one. There's only so many to go around and the army needs all they can get.

They are pretty much plug and play so just unplug when you don't need and plug back in when you need internet.

Unless I didn't see where it was specified. So if they did get the info on location it would be very bad for the Ukrainian military as it could result in area bombardment.

His explanation is for old style GEO sat tracking technology which he is correct. Starlink satellite connections last less than two minutes or so each. Each satellite has a "beam" that covers a roughly 15 mile radius.

Also remember, this is the same tech that is used on US military jets. If anything, this is pretty much the safest option for internet in a war zone. If you add in the mobility it provides, "tracking" it becomes extremely difficult.
