What a disappointment. No details, no terms of reference, no date for when it will conclude.
The truth is this government never wanted to do this inquiry - they were dragged kicking and screaming to do it - and from the lack of action so far, I wonder if they are ever going to do it?

The Irish government is shaken up by the news that tourism to Ireland dropped 25% in January and 30% in February, with revenue down 31%.

This is how absolutely INSANE this case this. This is what the local Member of Parliament said today:

“I have constituents getting in contact with me saying their house has been burgled and the police have not turned up, or they have watched shoplifters come in and take things off the shelf, and police will not come. Now it appears Hertfordshire police were able to send six officers for parents’ comments on a WhatsApp group and emails to the school”.

And now, we also learn today that the local police who staged this arrest warned off DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED local councillors from getting involved in the case. Outrageous.

What has happened to our country? As I say here, this is not simply a freak case, an unusual outlier.

No, it is merely the latest symbol of our country’s major and growing free speech crisis.

This is, at its core, about freedom. Whether you believe we are a free nation with free speech, free expression and the right to question authorities, or you don’t.

Last night alone, Russia launched 172 strike drones — over 100 of them were Shaheds. These massive drone attacks have now become a near-daily reality. On top of that, there are continued missile threats, including ballistic ones.

Our partners should clearly understand: these strikes are not just attacks on Ukrainian civilians, but also on all international efforts — on the very diplomacy we are trying to use to end this war.

Russia is striking at the positions of everyone who wants to end this war. It is impossible to ignore hundreds of Shaheds every night. We expect a response. We are working toward a response. A strong response is needed — from the U.S., from Europe, from everyone in the world who has placed their bets on diplomacy. Russia must be forced into peace — only pressure will work.

For far too long, the U.S. proposal for an unconditional ceasefire has been on the table — without a proper response from Russia. That says a lot. There could already have been a ceasefire — if there had been real pressure on Russia.

I thank those partners who understand this and are pushing the necessary decisions forward — including new sanctions.

Private property is vital to freedom. The more industries you have in the hands of government, the more the bureaucrats run things...Bureaucrats on the whole are not good at business, they're not good at industry. They shouldn't have the running of it.

The more powers you put into the hands of government, the less the powers of the people. The more in the hands of the bureaucrats, the less in the hands of the electors.

So of course we reduced that.

It not only puts the industries back to people who know how to run them but it extends share ownership. We've extended capital ownership far wider than ever before.

Capital ownership should be something that every single person feels that as they begin to prosper, they can put money aside and build up capital; build their own security.

It makes them much more powerful against a government.
