@PaulSmetanin@dougford@oliviachow More people, more tax dollars. Doesn’t matter how they get it. There are tons of investment condos sitting empty but they just keep approving and building them. #Toronto is a very pale version of its once culturally dynamic self.
🚨BREAKING: DUA LIPA CALLS OUT ISRAEL AGAIN.
Dua Lipa has said she is willing to risk a backlash over political statements after she recently described military operations in Gaza as “Israeli genocide”.
She said it was for the “greater good” and worth the risk.
“It’s always going to be met with a backlash and other people’s opinions, so it’s a big decision. I balance it out, because ultimately I feel it’s for the greater good, so I’m willing to [take that hit].”
Last month she wrote: “Burning children alive can never be justified. The whole world is mobilising to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza.”

Today I swore in the House because “f*ck” and “sh*t” are taken more seriously as unparliamentary behaviour than normalized racism. We need to address escalating racism in the House and MP Redekopp must be held accountable for equating racial background with criminal behaviour.
A new law under discussion in Israel:
If you are Palestinian in Israel, you can be imprisoned forever w/out being charged w anything ("administrative detention")
If you are a Jew in Israel, you cant.
Not so complicated after all. it's called apartheid.
