@raffichill@benspringwater@retrodotapp and they don't "insert it", it's always there hidden behind dynamic island and reveals itself in screenshots bcs there's no island in screenshots
q: what's stopping from putting half a dozen app ideas into tiny apps that barely pass apple's review, and put them under 'pre-order'. And then run ads to see which ones are generating most interest and then build only those?
ans: me
step 1: release airpods w camera that don’t take record photo/video but use them for queries
step 2: once socially acceptable, put them on smart glasses
why do people do Waitlists when they can send ppl to appstore for pre-order?
do you really need their emails?
plus you get a PN from apple on launch and users get a tentative release date
and they land on appstore to get context on the app again before it installs
i wish more companies experimented with unique feature discovery and ingresses
most of the time its "why do we need a new component" and "why can't we use a bottom sheet" or "add a new tab"

it was either - let people use claude subscription but run risk of getting banned,
or make people bring their own key
both terrible

@dharmeshba is your point that ads don’t work?
i use cred once a month but I know they do loans, bcs of their banners. when i need one, i’ll go to cred.
attention doesn’t translate to wallet, but user love makes it more likely
all these saas that could never invest in making a mobile app/site (amplitude, mixpanel, firebase, etc) now don’t need to;
they can get by via mcp connectors that give some interactive / rich preview
