@Jackalopes_Inc @AlaskanCourtney You are correct. As a firefighter myself, I would recommend closing doors. In the event of a fire, it will have a harder time spreading to other rooms. If you’re able to escape you’re home, close doors on your way out.

I live in an rural area. The nearest Law Enforcement officer is an hour out. The Troopers that do come up here suggest arming ourselves to better protect our lives, and property.

Criminals do not care about laws. They will find a way to carry out their evil deed.

Sounds to me like your beef is with the magazine size (30rnds), and not the ‘civilian equivalent’ of the rifle.

@mauiigirl19 As an example, Rugers mini 14 is functionally the exact same rifle with out all the ‘scary’ looking cosmetic work.

@mauiigirl19 Functionally, the AR-15 and M-16, are very different. You say ‘Military Style’ when the only thing similar is their cosmetic appearance. The AR-15 is functionally similar to any other semi-auto sport/ hunting rifle you can find at any sporting goods store.

@mauiigirl19 @AjNayloraj @GunOwners Those same weapons were used by the Regular Army. Today, we don’t have the luxury of being able to have the same weapons as our Army. Most sporting rifles are semi-automatic (each squeeze of the trigger discharges one round).

Marines don’t use AR-15’s.
