Further to what @FriedgeHNIC reported on Jason Robertson rejecting a contract offer from Seattle, the Stars now are circling back to teams that had shown interest in the winger. Plus still keeping dialogue open on trying to sign him. Trying to keep all avenues open.
Danny Briere gave Nic Deslauriers a shot to win the Cup this past season, now Garnet Hathaway gets to do the same with a Cup favorite in Florida
Great guy, class act
#Flyers
Where I'm at in terms of my draft preferences for the Flyers:
Preferred trade-up (dream slip) options: Malte Gustafsson, Tynan Lawrence, Alexander Command
Favorites more in Flyers' range: Elton Hermansson, Maddox Dagenais, Adam Novotny, Nikita Klepov, Tommy Bleyl
TRADE: We have acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from Florida in exchange for forward Garnet Hathaway and a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. https://t.co/HxSszo5ke8
Some really interesting deals took place in the #NHL already. As it relates to the #Flyers though…
B. Tkachuk (W who chose Florida)
Byram (no top 5 pick to trade)
Kyrou (W who doesn’t fill their need)
Nemec (NJ wasn’t trading him to PHI)
The focus has to be on C and PPQB
Sounds like a pretty robust market developing for pending UFA winger Mason Marchment if he goes to market. Blue Jackets still keeping in touch, however, could see CBJ making 11th hour pitch next week before July 1.
Flyers fans, last we checked, we need a 1C and a 1D PP QB. I don't think Eklund, Tkatchuk, and Kyrou are those. Byram is close but isn't better than Sanheim and will cost much more when he signs a new contract. So let's let Danny get what we actually need and not have FOMO.
