My morning started with a disturbing conversation with father of a Class 10 schoolgirl She had just revealed that for the past one week, a boy she met during online gaming and shared her number with, had been threatening her with acid attack over the phone if she didn't meet him Below is a picture of the boy with an illegal weapon that he had texted the girl to threaten her The father was highly stressed. He said he had traced the boy's family and asked his parents to control their son, but the latter had simply denied that he ever did such a thing The girl is Hindu while the boy is Muslim - adding to the tension We immediately took up the matter with @BhaiPreetSingh. A police complaint was filed, police station was contacted, public pressure was mobilised Result - half an hour ago, the boy was detained by police and put in jail Now not only the girl's parents but even we can be at peace now It takes a lot of time and resources to do impactful work such as this. swati_gs's tweet photo. My morning started with a disturbing conversation with father of a Class 10 schoolgirl

She had just revealed that for the past one week, a boy she met during online gaming and shared her number with, had been threatening her with acid attack over the phone if she didn't meet him

Below is a picture of the boy with an illegal weapon that he had texted the girl to threaten her

The father was highly stressed. He said he had traced the boy's family and asked his parents to control their son, but the latter had simply denied that he ever did such a thing

The girl is Hindu while the boy is Muslim - adding to the tension

We immediately took up the matter with @BhaiPreetSingh. A police complaint was filed, police station was contacted, public pressure was mobilised

Result - half an hour ago, the boy was detained by police and put in jail

Now not only the girl's parents but even we can be at peace now

It takes a lot of time and resources to do impactful work such as this. If it matters to you, support us.

A member of a Pakistani gang contacted a Hindu woman from Jaipur through Facebook and formed an online romantic relationship with her Within weeks, she recited the Kalma over the phone before Pakistani maulvis and adopted the name Khadija She was planning to elope, via Dubai or another route, when Indian agencies flagged her account for following numerous accounts displaying flags of Jaish-e-Mohammed and other jihadi groups She is now in custody facing terror-related charges This was one of the case studies I shared during my recent address in Mumbai How many parents or young people know about cases like this? Instead, most know of Bollywood fantasies like PK, Indoo Ki Jawani and Tara vs Bilal - films that promoted Pakistani men for Indian Hindu women and now easily available on OTT platforms

Easy, Saurav. Perhaps start with your own identity before offering lessons to the Republic. Governments are elected at the ballot box, not on the streets. The next general election will decide who governs this country and not street violence, intimidation, or the chaos you and your minions have orchestrated. Also Saurav, if you do plan to contest in the elections, just make sure you’ve sorted out the ‘father’s name’ column by then.
