The third student we visited in Uttarakhand was Abhinav.
Abhinav lives in a small village at the foothills of Badrinath with his mother, father, younger sister, younger brother, and both of his grandparents. The family of seven shares a two-bedroom home.
His grandfather runs a small ice cream shop during the tourist season, while his father works at the local electrical plant. Together, they earn less than $160 a month.
Life in this part of Uttarakhand is shaped by the mountains. On the way to school, the local doodhwala gives Abhinav's younger siblings a ride as a courtesy. On the way home, his younger sister walks nearly 7 kilometers back to the village. It takes her about two and a half hours.
Abhinav will be joining IIT Roorkee to study Computer Engineering.
He spent Classes 6 through 12 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chamoli, after earning admission in Class 5. He had been a top student from a young age, and after years of hard work, he was selected by Dakshana to attend the Valley Pune campus for JEE coaching. Less than a year later, he earned admission to IIT.
When we asked whether the neighbors were excited about his admission, his parents smiled and told us that no one in their region had even heard of IIT.
Abhinav is exceptionally studious and humble. It was easy to see how much his family values education and how proud they are of everything he has accomplished.
The drive to his home was one of the most beautiful parts of our trip. Surrounded by the mountains near Badrinath, it is an absolutely breathtaking part of India.
I'm excited to see what lies ahead for Abhinav, and I wish him and his family all the very best.

Today is a proud day for Micron and American manufacturing. 🇺🇸
We’re increasing our planned U.S. manufacturing and R&D investment commitment to more than $250B, supporting our goal of producing 40% of our DRAM in America and creating 90,000+ jobs.
We also poured the first concrete at our New York DRAM megafab, ahead of schedule, and announced an up to $3B investment to strengthen the U.S. semiconductor supply chain.
Thank you @POTUS, @howardlutnick, @GovKathyHochul, @SBA_Kelly, @USCTO47, @SenSchumer, @JohnMannionNY22, @RepTenney, our team members, construction crews, and the Central New York community.
This is American investment. American technology. American workers. Made in America!
Super confident about this trade. Obviously wouldn't be able to match @Glitch_Trades position size. But thought to give some time to this position so added an extra month in expiry.
Will be looking to load this up if $META opens below $600
Added heatmap in the comments below, looking at it, the options positioning for the June 18th expiration is absolutely wild. That colossal wall sitting at the $700 strike-over $418M in exposure highlighted right there. We're also seeing some very heavy action building up at the $650 strike ($176M) for the same date.
Let's kill this week with a massive $META trade
$100k in one month.
I just made my entire yearly 9-to-5 salary in the last 30 days. Trading can and will change your life—but it demands everything from you first.
The journey is filled with a lot of patience, long nights studying the charts, and some heavy failures in between. You have to take the losses on the chin and keep moving forward.
To everyone in the trenches right now: stay dedicated. When it finally clicks, it is incredibly worth it. 🥂

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in india have the most objective selection process of any undergraduate engineering program worldwide. There are no essays or legacy priorities. One just has to do exceedingly well on two ultra tough tests. The IITs admit just 1.1% of applicants! It is 3-4x easier to get admitted to @mit, @Stanford, @Harvard and @Princeton!
I am excited to share that this year one of our @dakshanaindia Scholars, Godavarthi Harshit Visweswar, got a rank of 39 (out of over 1.5 million applicants!) in the first IIT selection test. He is a sure shot to be admitted and get the campus and major he prefers.
His friends call him GHV and I’ll do the same. GHV grew up in the remote hinterlands of Prakasam District in the State of Andhra Pradesh in India. His father is a farmer and the family somehow survives on $5/day.
When GHV was in 8th grade, a @dakshanaindia alum, Keshava Chandra, who used to be in the same school as GHV delivered Dakshana’s Inspire session at the school. Each year our alums visit hundreds of schools to inspire the next generation of students to aspire to be @dakshanaindia Scholars. GHV was impressed that Keshava was a student at @iitkgp and understood that if he wanted to go to IIT, he needed to be accepted as a @dakshanaindia Scholar after 10th grade.
If there was no @dakshanaindia, the closest location for GHV to get coached for the IIT entrance exam is over 150 miles from his home and the costs of $4000+ would have been completely out of reach. Sometimes all we need is a gentle nudge in the right direction. I received a similar nudge in 8th grade and it totally changed my life trajectory.
GHV was the only kid from his school accepted by @dakshanaindia in 2024. We relocated him to Dakshana’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru and he was coached for two years at The Charles T. Munger Hall. Charlie would be proud! Congratulations to GHV, his family and his teachers. The future for GHV and his descendants looks very bright. This is @dakshanaindia at its very best!
@JillCo You forsure missed history class in school . You need good history teacher. Who can teach you when do Sikhs first came to Canada and how they contributed in building it.
