@LeeHurstComic I grew up in Southampton. It used to be one of the most boring UK cities. Managed to produce Ken Russell, Benny Hill and Craig David somehow. If you worked in oil refining or shipping you'd be OK.
@OldRoberts953 For a while I had a loop I created myself of the French woman saying 'allo, 'allo at the start of this (00:07 to 00:10). It amused me anyway. Couldn't be bothered transferring to my new phone though. https://t.co/x6OZmC7zzC
After the thunderstorms the other night. I've noticed a little patch of charring in my garden which means only one thing...the pixies are trying to start fires again. π
This will just incentivise people to work more slowly during their regular hours. But anyway, I haven't worked for a company that permitted any overtime since the 1990s. Private companies have already realised this happens.
I was wondering about this. AI can only do a certain number of cycles before it has to give you an answer. The more complex the problem, the more cycles it needs, the more likely you will get a nonsense answer. https://t.co/MsDMa2pBOP
Fascinating to see that this German's complaints about Germany are almost exactly the same as a British person's complaints about Britain. https://t.co/Sq9cDJX9FZ
Humanoid robots look cool but they are hugely inefficient. They require huge amounts of computing power just to stay upright. Wheels/tracks are inherently more stable. Notice in the video how they don't do anything that's actually useful.
UBTECH has just rolled out its 1000th industrial humanoid robot:Walker S2, in Liuzhou, Guangxi.
This year, they have delivered 500 humanoid robots for applications in various industries, including automotive factories, electronics manufacturing, and logistics warehouses.
Dreadful traffic at weekends and horrendously busy, rows of terraced housing where your living room and bedroom face directly into opposite house. Train service and supermarkets pretty good though. https://t.co/lDuGhQR0EO
Got to admit, I feel a bit sorry for water company execs. First they had to force private sector priorities on to orgs with public sector values. Now they have to cope with govts who deny the effect of a rapidly increasing population (eg more sewage). https://t.co/CK3S1reC2U
@ReturnOfMount He wasn't even a proper journalist, he was only a film critic. Somehow managed to transfer to senior civil servant so clearly has the right connections.
