Every effort to remove cars from a city, even temporarily and in limited places, takes endless advocacy, resources, and time. However, the moment a street is closed to cars, people immediately flock and make the space theirs. Why must we fight so hard for #OpenStreets?
🔎 How old is your #Richmond3121 street? 📍 Is it on this contour plan of the town of Richmond from 25 March 1873?
This map was prepared for Richmond Council by M Egan, architect, and Edward Owens, cont. surveyor. Thanks to @Library_Vic.
