@gavreilly@VirginMediaNews When you say 1990 it seemed like a long time but when you boil it down it’s 97, 11, 18 so only three elections. Four if you count 04.
@ToniTaylor546 @irishelectproj PRSTV is the best form of popular vote. The alternative first past the post could mean a candidate 34% and the other two get 33%. For me transfers mean the candidate is representative of the majority?
@gavreilly So is the numbers - Aontú x3, Mattie McGrath, Michael Healy Rae, Carol Nolan, Gillian O’Toole, Marian Harkin, Joe Conway, Sharon Keogan, Ronan Mullen are the public 11? Then Paul Gogarty, Danny Healy Rae and Independent Ireland get to 17?
Am I missing anyone?
@Dean_LFC11 @TheBenev @Ireland_Votes Yeah Journal reporting - 8 declared publicly with 2 “speaking with teams”. Tóibín, Mattie McGrath, Joe Conway, Paul Lawless, Ronan Mullen, Carol Nolan, Sharon Keogan and Sarah O’Reilly
@gavreilly Any chance of a spreadsheet for all TDs and Senators and who they are backing interested to know is there numbers out there 🙈
You know you want to 😜
Four independent candidates seeking to run in the presidential election will be invited to a selection caucus in Leinster House next Thursday which is being organised by Aontú Leader Peadar Tóibín. He hopes it will result in one of the four getting a nomination.
@PCulloty84529 @TMCreamer@irishelectproj True true - if there was a bye-election would think FG or maybe Green would both be more likely than SF gain from a DBS so find the SF comments of the last few days quite odd
@irishelectproj Fair play excellent hit rate, I don't really see how Irish transfers can be projected as they are wild! Looking forward to the next five years of analyis!
@AdrianKavanagh Interesting was just looking at Tallys thinking FF look well placed for a good number of seats and definitely more than the exit poll suggests
