My position is that gender dysphoria is a real, painful condition and that for some adults, the only way they may feel able to resolve that inner conflict is transition. If that’s the road they choose I wish them long life and happiness and I would vigorously oppose any discrimination against them when it comes to employment, housing or voting rights.

I do not believe children have the capacity to consent to treatments that may leave them infertile and, in some cases, anorgasmic. Multiple studies have shown that gender dysphoria in childhood and adolescence is not uncommon, for gay kids particularly, but it also occurs in, for example, straight girls who hate the idea of becoming women and sometimes, tragically, in children who’ve been abused. The available evidence shows that in the majority of cases, gender dysphoria resolves after the person has gone through adolescence. I am strongly opposed to the experimental treatment of blocking puberty in dysphoric children. I believe trans activists have behaved hugely unethically and irresponsibly in pretending that there is good evidence that these treatments are beneficial (there isn’t), that puberty blockers are completely reversible (there is a mounting body of evidence to suggest they aren’t) or that children are likely to kill themselves if denied blockers (there is no evidence to support this and suicide prevention charities warn against making such statements, due to the very real danger of suicide contagion.)

Of course, not all trans-identified people are dysphoric. Erotic transvestism, also known as autogynephilia, (getting a sexual thrill out of dressing as/pretending to be a woman) has been around for a very long time. I believe lesbians are entitled to exclude straight, cross-dressing men from their dating pools without being accused of bigotry and worse (same goes for gay men with trans-identified women). It’s profoundly homophobic to attack gay people for being same-sex attracted.

I don’t believe anyone, adult or child, is ‘born in the wrong body.’ That is an unfalsifiable, quasi-religious belief. A person may *feel* as if they’re in the wrong body, but humans cannot literally change sex. However they identify, men don’t belong in the single-sex spaces for which women fought so hard.

The Government of Canada is presenting contested policy positions as though they represent universal human rights or the views of Canadians as a whole. They do not. They are activist views and a deliberate attack on the human rights and freedoms of Canadian women and girls.

I am a Canadian citizen, and I am female. My rights should not be made invisible through deliberate, undemocratic and insidious propaganda usage in official government statements.

Section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects against discrimination based on sex. Section 28 guarantees Charter rights equally to male and female persons.

Yet in a statement about equality, the government uses "sex characteristics" within the SOGIESC framework -- sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics -- without naming sex itself.

Sex and "sex characteristics" are not the same thing. Women were historically discriminated against because they are female, and sex is the protected ground on which those legal protections were won.

People should be protected from violence and unjust discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or differences of sex development. But those protections do not require sex to disappear as a distinct legal category.

Nor does calling something a “2SLGBTQI+ right” settle every policy debate associated with conflicting interests, rights and freedoms.

Protecting gay and transgender people from violence and discrimination is a human rights issue. Questions about medical treatment, sport, prisons, shelters, intimate spaces, data collection and sex-based rights involve different considerations. They involve evidence, privacy, safety, fairness and competing rights.

Those questions deserve democratic debate. They should not be dismissed by suggesting that disagreement with government policy is automatically “transphobia,” “hostility,” “hate speech” or “disinformation.”

The government's description of efforts to “curtail access to gender-affirming health care” as attacks on human rights is pure propaganda.

What treatments does this include? At what ages? Based on what evidence and safeguards? At what point does legitimate disagreement about our taxpayer funded medical system committing to the medically-assisted abuse of children become a human rights violation? Is it at the point where we castrate juveniles? Or, is it at the point where we deny castration to juveniles who believe castration will make them into something they are not and never will be?

The government needs to answer those questions rather than treating it as policy.

The same applies to references to “restrictions on 2SLGBTQI+ rights.” What rights, specifically?

If claimed rights affects my charter rights and freedom to sex-specific spaces, privacy, and safety, or the collection of sex-based data, or changes the legal definition of what a citizen or a human beings is, then there are competing rights and interests that the government needs to consider or they have no legitimacy as a government. Declaring that no conflict exists does not resolve the conflict, it only hides the cost of the conflict by forcing women and children to be silent about their concerns and quietly sacrifice their health, safety and human dignity to pay the price.

A Canadian government that cannot coherently define a Canadian man, a Canadian woman, a Canadian boy, or a Canadian girl has no coherent basis or any legitimate right to govern any Canadian.

I'd argue MOST people, me included, used to be totally indifferent to all of this. My position genuinely used to be that I don't care what you do as an adult, provided it doesn't affect me.

I don't feel like that any more. Not even a little.

Somewhere along the road, trans activists and progressives got extremely forceful and loud. And then it became impossible to ignore their bullshit.

"Please let us live in peace" turned into forcing transition on minors.
And forcing men into women's spaces.
And quite literally changing the definition of the word "woman".

In medicine, we have been pushed to change how we understand the female sex in order to accommodate a bunch of men who think they are female (lmfao what the fuck are we even doing?)

Then it was all the legal battles where judges undermined what it is to be a woman. Forcing women to accept men into female-only gyms, locker rooms, bathrooms and apps. Making women feel uncomfortable and unsafe in order to protect the precious feelings of these men.

We have been to thoroughly dehumanized by the trans community.

Anything and everything that makes women remarkable, unique, and DIFFERENT to men has been erased so we can include a bunch of mentally ill men in our ranks.

Voicing concern got you fired and socially ostracized. Women have been too terrified to speak up and do anything because, across the Western world, we have virtually no support and no protections from the justice system.

Women (and men) in Britain were (maybe still are) being charged and arrested for MISGENDERING people online. Harassed for pointing out the biological reality that MEN CANNOT BE WOMEN.

And this doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what women, girls and children have had to endure for the past decade or so.

Public opinion went backwards because the most insane people have had the microphone for the better part of ten years. And they have pushed everyone's tolerance to the brink.

Blame yourselves. You did this to yourselves. You have hurt women and children so significantly and so thoroughly that there is no coming back from this.

All it took to collapse an entire sect of gender ideology was two alpha males declaring they identify as women and entering the WNBA draft.

I’m going to show you the genius of what they just did.

The two ex-NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White didn’t argue against the absurd premise that gender is fluid. That’s a losing play.

The better play is to enter the illusion and destroy it by taking the illusion to the logical extreme. So that’s exactly what they did.

They embraced the premise that gender is fluid and took it to the logical extreme by declaring for the WNBA draft. Now they are forcing liberals to face the absurdity of their own ideology.

Gender ideology’s core claim is that sex is irrelevant and identity is sovereign. “Trans women are women.” Self-ID is enough.

Now the WNBA, which is in many ways a major liberal institution, faces a big dilemma. They have to either:

A: Allow the two to enter the WNBA draft. Admit “woman” is just a feeling (This is absurd and destroys the product).

or

B: Draw a line and say they don’t qualify. That concedes self-ID is not enough and biology matters. This would be a public abandonment of the liberal doctrine.

Either path burns the ideology to the ground, which is hilarious.

Take notes everyone. Two dudes literally just made one of the greatest persuasion plays of the decade.
